Vintage Echoplex Preamp in a small enclosure – Henretta Emerald Prince Pedal

The Vintage Maestro Echoplex is known for their great warm tape delay sound. Lots of builder has tried to put that sound in a box but to my humble opinion nobody did replicate it perfectly. The other feature that made the Echoplex EP-3 mythic is the preamp. It has been used by a lot of the best guitar players; it is mostly known to be used by Jimmy Page in the Led Zeppelin years.

That’s what Kevin at Henretta was looking for in his Emerald Prince. It’s a great preamp with nice character. He add a toggle switch for brightness that add clarity and a unique mid range character when set on When it’s set in the other position in engaged the dark mode, it fatten up your sound while maintaining clarity and punch. It also comes with a trimmer to adjust output volume. All that in a 2 inches x 2 inches box.
It doesn’t take real estate in your board but can give a lot of character to your rig.

I was an Henretta Dealer until I close the shop, but I’ll still stand behind their products. I love them!!
